Hello, my name is Captain Adam Whitston and I am the owner of Ridin' the Tide Charters LLC. I am a USCG licensed and insured fishing guide out of Crystal River, Florida. I have been enjoying the outdoors for as long as I can remember. My family and I were in the woods or on the water in Crystal River and Homosassa every weekend. I grew up in Ocala, Florida, which is centrally located in the state. This gave me the opportunity to experience a lot of the fishing Florida has to offer. Out of all of the areas I have fished in Florida, the Crystal River is still what I consider to be my home. It is the closest fishery to me, and also the most fun place for me to fish. I fish everywhere from the Chassahowitzka River, all the way up to Steinhatchee. This area includes Homosassa, Ozello, Crystal River, Yankeetown, Waccasassa Bay, Cedar Key, Suwanee, and Horseshoe Beach. This wide range of area allows me to target fish in many different scenarios! When choosing a place to base my operations out of, Crystal River was the clear choice. The amenities it offers are unmatched in our area. Crystal River offers great lodging, wonderful restaurants, and just an all around great atmosphere throughout the town! On top of fishing the Nature Coast, I have also had the pleasure to fish everywhere from The Florida Keys, all the way up to the Louisiana Marsh! Even though I am an avid fly angler, I am also an avid tournament angler in a few of the redfish circuits. I fish the Inshore Fishing Association Redfish Tour, as well as the Florida Pro Redfish Series. Because I fish these circuits, I feel it gives me a much more rounded understanding of different fisheries that I have to fish because of these tournaments. I take this information and apply it back home, thus giving me a better understanding of my own area. When I'm not on the water, I'm in the woods. I grew up hunting in North Florida with my family, and have grown to love bow hunting the elusive whitetail and wild turkeys that we have on our property.
